Holy Moses!
A great, and might I say fresh look at the music industry. Here is part 1. I can hardly wait to read his next post...

'IndieDIY' is here to remind Indies that, if nothing else, we are independent do-it-yourselfers first. Let those high-cost, low-return companies target the 'hobby' musicians with disposable incomes. Meanwhile, you and I will be here discussing our successes and failures, learning from them, and saving our hard earned cash.
These are, in my books, the Top Ten Companies that have helped me get where I'm at today.
Note that I promote these companies for free. In other words, I get exactly ZERO dollars and ZERO cents if you click on any of the links below. Most of them don't even know their company is showing here.
In no specific order... here they are:
1) The Home Depot: You can build your own studio and they can help:
2) Roland Keyboards: My keyboard is a Roland and I couldn't be happier with it...:
3) BOSS Digital Recorders: Any of the BOSS BR line will be the central piece of your home studio:
4) Yamaha Guitars: Unbelievable sound... Outstanding quality...:
5) Fishman Pickups: The pure translation of sound:
6) Audio-Technica Microphones: I heard your pin drop from a mile away...:
7) Audacity Sound Editing Software: First they had the audacity to create a powerful sound editing tool, then they had the double audacity of not charging a penny for it:
8) Ibanez Guitars: If they're good enough for Joe... they're more than good enough for me:
9) VistaPrint.ca: It's true. It's all true. Every crazy thing they tell you... it's jaw-droppingly true:
10) HostBaby: Ever wanted to be treated like a Superstar? These people are my best friends and they don't even know it:
11) CDBaby: The best music distributor on the planet... and quite probably the universe too:
12) Audiolife: Audiolife wins the race to truly providing 'the new music business'. This is the real deal:
13) Luc Normand: Face it... I have over 600 songs written. There's no way I'll produce them all. If you need one, let me know. I've got all styles and I'll probably let you record, perform and sell your CDs with my songs on them in exchange for radio play (equate to royalties) and exposure (equate to more business). So, yeah, that earns me a spot on the Top ...uh... 13 list:
